How Deepsikha was formedDeepsikha is a nonprofit voluntary organization trying to add meaning to the lives of cancer patients through conjoined efforts. Witnessing the plight of cancer patients and their families and seeing lack of awareness about the disease made the Chairman, Mr. Devasish Sharma, of the organization conduct awareness camps in the villages of the North Eastern States with a small band of musicians and health workers. His dedicated efforts blossomed into an organization DEEPSIKHA, which stands as a Sentinel of hope for cancer patients today. After nearly two years of sustained efforts, Deepsikha was formally registered as a trust under the Indian Trust Act, 1961 to find answers to the myriad problems faced by cancer patients.
